This Privacy Policy explains how Pixie ("we", "us") handles information when you use the Pixie desktop app and this website. Questions: support@getpixie.app.
Pixie's face-mirroring, gesture, and sound features run entirely on your own device using on-device AI models. Pixie does not collect, store, upload, or transmit any images, video, or audio. These features work without an internet connection.
The chat model ships inside Pixie and runs on your own device. There is no API key, no account, and no third-party AI provider. Your messages are never sent anywhere — Pixie makes no network requests at all, and chat works with the internet disconnected.
Chat history and the optional memory notes are stored only on your own computer, in your user profile folder. You can edit or erase them at any time from Settings, and they are not uploaded to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete them.
The Steam edition contains no license-key system and makes no validation requests of any kind. Pixie does not contact us or any server of ours — there is nothing for us to log.
Purchases are handled entirely by Valve through Steam. We do not receive, collect or store your payment details. Valve's privacy policy governs the transaction and your Steam account data.
This site is static and hosted by a third-party host, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance. We do not set advertising cookies or sell your data.
If you enter your email address in the "notify me" box, we store it for one single purpose: to tell you once, by email, when Pixie is available on Steam. The submission is processed and stored by our website host (Netlify) on our behalf.
We do not add you to a newsletter, do not send marketing follow-ups, and do not share, sell or transfer the address to anyone. After the launch email is sent, the list is deleted. You can ask us to remove your address at any time by replying to that email or writing to the contact address below — no reason needed.
Pixie is not directed to children under 13.
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will reflect changes.
